HELIDECK OPERATIONS REFRESHER
The aim and objectives of the Helideck Operations Refresher training is to reestablish the candidate with the initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform the roles of offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Helideck Assistant (HDA) safely and effectively.
The course is delivered via either Zoom or Teams by an instructor with 30 year’s experience in offshore and maritime helicopter operations and one of the members of the team who developed the OPITO Helideck Operations Initial Training course and competency stadards.
Who should enrol on this course
Any person appointed or interested in being appointed to the role of either HLO or HDA.
Any person who is already qualified as a HLO/HDA who would like to refresh their knowledge.

This online certified course, which fully complies with OPITO standards and requirements, provides the prospective HDA and HLO with a comprehensive and in-depth insight into the legal and practical intricacies of helideck offshore operations with emphasis on helideck hazards and management systems as well as the HLO and HDA responsibilities during helicopter landing and departure on both attended and unattended installations.

Normally Unattended Installations (NUI’s)
HLO and HDA responsibilities on an NUI
