CAA Radio Operator Certificate or Competence
(Offshore Communication Service)
Green Deck Ops are a certified and approved Examiner for ROCC, providing training and examinaion for the following disciplines:
The course will consist of a theory section followed by an exam. Personnel holding GMDSS will only be required to complete a theory examination. Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be awarded a certificate of competence, endorsed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
The ROCC will also provide a bridge for current GMDSS holders to operate airband radios offshore. We have a conversion course which is designed specifically for GMDSS holder’s wishing to obtain the ROCC, the course is one day in duration.
Location: Solent Airport, Hampshire, UK or at a location designated by the client.

- An Offshore Radio Operator
- Helideck Landing Officer (HLO)
- Helideck Assistants
- Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel Crew
- Anyone providing an Offshore Communication Service within UK offshore waters
- Superyacht Helideck Landing Officers or vessels who wish to ensure correct training in ship to air communications.
